Quiz Night is taking place in school tomorrow night at 7.30pm.
Teams of up to 4 people can take part and children are welcome. Payment of £10

Please come and support.
It is that time again where we get to take over Hodnet Hall
Gardens Tea rooms. The gardens will be open on Easter Sunday and Monday where we
will be selling refreshments and meals. All profits come back to the school and
Pre-school. Please support by coming to visit and/or donating cakes or scones
School Dinner Payments
I have been informed by the kitchen that there are a growing
number of people who are not paying for their meals and these are mounting up.
The policy is that if a child owes more than 3 days, they should not be given a
dinner on the 4thday. We have not adhered to this in the past as it
has never been an issue, but this term we have seen a real increase in the
number of children who are coming to school without a packed lunch or any money.
We do not want to have to keep asking children for the money as it is very
embarrassing for them.
Club letters for next term have been sent out. Please complete
and return to ensure that your child gets the places they want as man of our
clubs are limited to a certain number. Please remember that payment is needed
for clubs and credits will be given for any sessions that we have had to cancel
but cash refunds are not available if your child changes their mind.
We are offering a new Language club this term for key stage 2
children- this will be Spanish and / or French, depending on the children who
come. This must be attended every week as it is a 10 week programme and cannot
be dipped in and out of.
Holidays In Term Time
I am aware that this is always going to be an issue but wanted
to reiterate that it is not our school policy, the government have insisted on
this. Any fines which may be given to parents who take their child out without
authorisation do not come from school and we do not get the money. Our hands are tied in what we are allowed to authorise, it is not a personal issue.
Year 3,4 & 5 are very excited about the forthcoming
production of Joseph on Tuesday. They have all been working really hard and it
is sounding great. Please check that you have the tickets you applied for. Due
to Fire Regulations, we are only able to admit a limited number of people and
will have to turn those who have not booked
A group of year 6 children have requested to run a cake sale in
school on Monday to raise money for Red Cross Young Carers. The cakes will cost
20p each and will be on sale after school Monday 7th April and
children who usually take the bus will be allowed to buy during
